Community Engagement

The ΘνΓΓΙη College of Arts and Sciences, in response to the call to be people for others, recognizes and engages with the community beyond ΘνΓΓΙη. We seek to empower St. Louis and the larger community by fostering positive social change.

Visiting Young Scholars Program

The Visiting Young Scholars program, along with the College of Arts and Sciences as a part of its Initiatives in Community Engagement, has established a relationship with Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School, a local Catholic, primarily African-American, school. This partnership assists exceptional students with the opportunity to take college classes on ΘνΓΓΙη’s campus while in high school. Through ΘνΓΓΙη’s Visiting Young Scholars program, Cardinal Ritter students can gain insight into university life and college-level curriculum and enhance their foundational skills that will contribute to their ability to complete undergraduate and potentially graduate education successfully.
